"Sin of Carnality"

Sin of Carnality
(Amos 6:1-14)
Responsibility is linked to privilege. Israel’s redemption from the land of bondage gave them a new Master. Now they belonged to God and they soon learned that they could not lust after that which the Lord had withheld or forbidden and still expect to enjoy His hand of blessing on them. The Lord asked them "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Titus 3:3) This refers to the fact that believers must walk in obedience to the light before they can walk in fellowship with the God of all light! Sin disrupts communion with the Lord. It must be confessed! (I John 1:9)
Sin always keeps us from the center of God’s blessing and usefulness for Him.
The sin of self-reliance is the foe of the spirit of grace!
God’s people felt secure a and self- satisfied in the strongholds of Samaria when they should
have been worshiping and serving God in Jerusalem as prescribed in God’s Law! The idea that prosperity and peace could be found outside the church, is nothing but rebellion and lies lead by Satan! The Lord pronounces "Woe" upon any effort to replace His plan with the designs of man!
Like Israel, we cannot escape God’s chastening hand. Though filled with proud self-confidence, they would soon suffer God’s chastisement.
We today cannot continue to remain in sin and expect to get away with it!

"To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name who-soever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins."
Acts 10:43

"Does God Hate?'

Many believers today emphasize the wonderful truth of God's love, and rightly so, but at the same time they seem to forget the fact the God also hates that which is evil! In our world today we are seeing more evil than ever before. God's word mentions those evil things and we know that he hates them! God is a God of love, but he will not put up with the evil that is in our world today! Someday he will become the Judge! All evil must be punished, if not now, then we know for sure later. The Bible says that every knee will one day bow before the Lord.

Proverbs 6:16-19 Tells us of the evil things the Lord hates!

#1 A Proud Look

#2 A Lying Tongue

#3 Hands that shed innocent blood (Murder)

#4 A Heart that devises wicked imaginations (wicked thoughts and plans)

#5 Feet that are swift in running to mischief (evil)

#6 A False Witness who Speaks lies (even under oath)

#7 He that soweth Discord among brethren (gossip)

Proverbs 6:20 "My son, keep thy father's commandments, and forsake not the law of thy mother."

So the simple question is, will you bow in judgement or will you bow in adoration to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

No, it is not right to hate one another, but I can find many scriptures, like the one above, that tells us we MUST hate evil!!

Have a great day and keep up the good fight!

"What Happened to Your Sins?"

What Happened To My Sins?

People will do just about anything to get rid of their sins. They will pay whatever price is stated and say all kinds of repetitious prayers. But in the end, their sins remain because they do not go to Jesus Himself for the forgiveness of their sins. But, when you become a child of God, what does the Lord do with your sins?

#1 Your sins are forgiven-I John 1:9
#2 Your sins are remitted-Acts 10:34
#3 Your sins are nailed to the cross Col. 2:13-14
#4 Your sins are blotted out-Isa 44:22
#5 Your sins are cast behind Gods back-Isa 38:17
#6 Your sins are cast into the depths of the sea-Micah 7:19
#7 Your sins are removed to a limitless extent-Psa. 103:12
#8 Your sins are forgotten-Isa. 43:25 & Acts10:17

Because of God’s incredible mercy and infinite love, he chooses to forgive and forget those sins that have been confessed!!!

Have you enjoyed this kind of forgiveness?
